JPD Reports Park Vandalism - Urges Safety

The Jackson Police Department is investigating acts of Criminal Mischief (vandalism) to public parks and playgrounds in the township. Anyone with information to any damage that has been done to any of the parks is asked to contact the Police Department at 732-928-1111. Mercer County man sentenced -78 months for child pornography

TRENTON, N.J. – Eric Breisacher of Princeton, N.J., was sentenced today to 78 months in prison for possessing more than 600 images of child pornography on a computer located in his residence in September 2009, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Breisacher, 48, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Anne E. Thompson to an Information charging him with one count of possession of child pornography. Judge Thompson imposed the sentence today in Trenton federal court.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:

Breisacher acknowledged that among the images of child pornography he possessed were images which depicted minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct with other minors and adults, including material portraying sadistic or masochistic conduct or other depictions of violence.

In addition to the prison term, Judge Thompson sentenced Breisacher to five years of supervised release and ordered him to pay $40,000 in restitution to the identified child victims.

U.S. Attorney Fishman credited the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L. Bocchini Jr., and special agents of the FBI’s Cyber Crimes Squad assigned to Innocent Images, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Michael B. Ward in Newark, with the investigation that lead to today’s sentence. He also thanked the N.J. Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory for its role in the case.

The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Wolfe of the U.S. Attorney’s Office Criminal Division in Trenton.

Heroin Bust

On Saturday June 23, 2012 at approximately 3:05 pm, Police Officer Brad Reider was on patrol when he observed a 2000 Dodge Pickup truck doing in excess of 70 miles per hour in a posted 50 mile per hour speed zone on Cedar Swamp Road.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted with the Dodge and while speaking with the driver, the odor of burnt marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. While investigating further, 100 decks of heroin were recovered from the driver. A search of the vehicle yielded an additional 320 decks of heroin along with 5 small bags of marijuana. The driver and the vehicle passenger were placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing while the vehicle was impounded at the scene.

Arrested:

Francisco Urteaga, age 41 of Bayville, NJ. Mr. Urteaga was charged with:
Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Speeding, Obstructed View and Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance while Operating a Motor Vehicle. Bail was set at $35,000.00 and he was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

Timothy Cole, age 24 of Newark, NJ. Mr. Cole was charged with:
Possession of Heroin and Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana and Hindering Apprehension, for providing officers with a false name. Bail was set at $35,000.00 and he was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

DWI Arrest

On Saturday June 23, 2012 at approximately 3:00 pm, officers responded to the intersection of Birmingham Drive and Winchester Drive on the report of what appeared to be a male, passed out in a car at the intersection.

Officers responded and observed a 2008 Volkwagon which was still running with a male in the driver's seat, passed out with his foot on the brake.

Officers were able to get the driver to wake up and then unlock and turn off the car. The driver was placed under arrest at the scene for Driving While Intoxicated and items consistent with heroin use were recovered from the car. The car was also impounded and towed from the scene.

Arrested:
Sean Simoes, age 18 of Jackson. Mr. Simoes was charged with Being Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance while Operating a Motor Vehicle and Reckless Driving. He was processed and released to a family member pending a court appearance.

Subject Arrested for Reported Robbery:

On Monday May 28, 2012 at approximately 4:00 am, it was reported to Jackson Police that a Robbery had occurred in the parking lot of the 7-11 convenience store on West Countyline Road.

A female reported that she was parked in the 7-11 parking lot and was speaking to a male subject who was known to her as he was standing outside the driver window of her car. During this time, it was reported that the male subject punched the victim in the head and took approximately $600 in cash from her. A suspect was later identified and detectives were notified.
