Press Release: Sexual Assault Arrest

On Wednesday May 30, 2012, Dsg. Frank Mendez and Detective Mitch Cowit concluded an investigation that culminated in the arrest of a township resident on sexual assault charges.

Arrested:
Lawrence R. Fay, age 62 of Jackson Township.

Mr. Fay was charged with: Second Degree Sexual Assault for having sexual contact with a victim under the age of 13 and two counts of Second Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Assisting in the investigation was Det. Adam Sennick of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Special Victims Unit, and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office Hi-Tech Crimes Unit.

Bail was set at $200,000.00 and Mr. Fay was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
